The must-sees in Ariège

Do you want to escape? Free to unplug!

At the foot of the Ariège Pyrenees Regional Natural Park, the ARIEGE EVASION team welcomes you to the ARIEGE EVASION campsite. Our credo is that your stay is a dream that becomes a memory!

Moments of relaxation and sports in preserved spaces await you.

On our campsite there is no swimming pool, we do not offer any entertainment! In the heart of the Pyrenees we cultivate authenticity!

The Ariège river runs alongside our campsite, the landscape is a mix of limestone cliffs, forests and river. The Ariège is a mountain torrent, calm and well regulated by hydroelectric dams.

We are less than 20 minutes walk from the Lombrives cave. The Ussat les Bains spa resort is 1km away.

Discover Ariège and its treasures easily from the campsite. We are 4km from Tarascon sur Ariège. The campsite is served by Route Nationale 20 (RN20). Toulouse is 1 hour from ARIEGE EVASION. Foix, the capital of the department, is 18km away.

Our team is made up of enthusiasts traveling these mountains. They will all be able to be travel advisors to guide you.

Ariège, land of sports, land of hydrotherapy, land of History (and Prehistory!).

“Le Zéro neuf amazes with its landscapes and its terroir” can we read on Google reviews, TripAdvisor or other reviews of tourist sites.

Ariège is a composite material:

The country of Olmes with its capital Lavelanet dominated by the famous castle of Montsegur. The "Pog" of the Cathars fell in March 1244. It is also the resort of Monts d'Olmes with its renowned sportswoman Perrine Laffont who flies the colors of France on the mogul slopes!

The Couserans with St Girons and not far from there the Palace of the Bishops of St Lizier. Dominated by the lord of the place the Valier!

Lower Ariège is the gateway to Ariège. At the bend of the Toulouse Narbonne motorway, the A66 appears which takes you to Pamiers. Pamiers with its 15,000 inhabitants is the largest town in Ariège

Haute Ariège is nestled against the border with Andorra and Spain. There are 6 peaks over 3000m above sea level.

Querigut and Donezan, Ariège Canada, past the Pailheres pass the climate and landscape changes! An enclave, a whole country apart, well hidden, very wild!

Visit Occitanie; Visit the Midi-Pyrénées region.

Department 09 has three main towns which are home to a unique and well-preserved historical heritage. Ariège is worth it, but its inhabitants are incredible influencers! All ambassadors of their land: Ariège!

Foix (capital, approximately 9,000 inhabitants), Pamiers (15,000 inhabitants) and Saint-Girons (6,000 inhabitants). We can also cite Tarascon-sur-Ariège 2800 souls and Ax les thermes 1300 inhabitants without forgetting Mirepoix 3000 inhabitants. And yes Ariège is a large, very sparsely populated department!

A fauna (and yes the Bear here is not a legend, the wolf is also starting to be recorded!) and a unique flora!

Whether for a weekend, a short stay or a long vacation, Ariège will surprise you!
