The Lombrives Cave

The Lombrives cave is one of the most visited major sites in Ariège. World-famous, exploration of this incredible world begins with a climb on a hiking trail to the cave entrance). Under the porch of the cave, your guide leads you and comments on the hike in the immensity.

Tips for preparing your visit to the Lombrives cave:

  • Bring warm clothing, the temperature is 12° all year round.
  • Wear shoes so as not to slip on the sometimes wet floors of the cave.
  • Don't hesitate to take the little train as you go up to the cave, which will save you a quarter of an hour of walking. This will also delight children.
  • Book in advance. During school holidays, the cave is sometimes a victim of its own success and the number of visitors is limited.
