Just a few kilometers from the Ariège évasion (40 minutes), don't hesitate to visit Calou , the warden of the Rulhe refuge (2185m). Calou and his team will welcome you for a stopover during a multi-day getaway on the trails and GR routes crossing the upperAston , or for a break during a hike starting from Pla de Laspeyres, right next to theLaparan lake.
At the foot of the Pic du Rulhe (2783m) on the GR10 route. The refuge has 53 beds and also offers meals, drinks, sandwiches, picnics, omelets…
This refuge is ideal for a family's first experience of a mountain hut; access on foot is relatively easy.
From the campsite by car. Take the direction " Les Cabannes " (6km) cross the village of Aston (8km) and head towards the Pla de Laspeyres (28km) by car you will pass alongside the Riète and Laparan dams.
Next, put on your backpack and get your walking poles to go directly to the refuge in 1 hour 45 minutes of walking or to the major hiking trails: GR10, GR Transfrontaliers, Haute Route Pyrénéenne, Tour des Montagnes d'Ax.
