From Toulouse:
Forget the Friday night traffic jams. You'll take the TER regional train that winds its way up the Ariège valley. It's a gradual immersion: you'll cross the plains before the mountain peaks appear on the horizon. Grab a book, listen to some music, or simply admire the scenery: the escape is immediate.
After just over an hour's journey, you'll arrive in Tarascon sur Ariège .
If you wish to travel with your bicycle, this is entirely possible thanks to the lio train + bicycle offer.

From Paris: The Night Train Adventure
For our Parisian friends, the Intercités de Nuit (Paris Austerlitz – Latour-de-Carol) offers a complete change of scenery. You fall asleep in the capital and wake up in the early morning in Tarascon sur Ariège at the foot of the Ariège mountains. It's a timeless, economical, and eco-friendly journey that allows you to arrive refreshed and ready for your first day of vacation.
🇪🇸 The Trans-Pyrenean adventure from Barcelona
Are you coming from Catalonia? A complete change of scenery is guaranteed with a spectacular crossing of the Pyrenees from South to North.
The departure: Take the Rodalies train (Line R3) from Barcelona (Sants or Plaça de Catalunya) towards La Tour de Carol. The journey climbs gradually through the Catalan mountains.
The connection: Upon arrival at the international terminus of Latour-de-Carol / Enveitg, simply change platforms to board the TER Occitanie train which descends the Ariège valley.
The arrival: As with travelers coming from Toulouse, you will disembark in Tarascon-sur-Ariège where our shuttles or rental bikes await you.

Once you arrive at the Tarascon-sur-Ariège , several options are available to reach our campsite. We've thought of everything to make your "last few kilometers" easier:
🚐 The Ariège Evasion Shuttle: Are you carrying a lot of luggage or camping gear? No worries. We provide on-demand shuttles directly from the Tarascon train station to the campsite. Just let us know in advance so we can arrange your pick-up!
🚲 The Cycling Option with "Terre de Sport" : Want to be independent throughout your stay? Our partner, Terre de Sport, located just a stone's throw from the Tarascon train station, offers bike rentals. Pick up your bike as you get off the train, cycle to the campsite via the RD123 departmental road (approximately 15 minutes), and keep the bike for your rides and errands during your vacation. It's also possible to have the bike delivered directly to the Ariège Evasion campsite.
🚶 For walkers: For lighter packs, the campsite remains accessible on foot, an opportunity to breathe the first fresh air of the valley (distance 5km).
