Rock faces:
Sinsat or Quié de sinsat : The historic Haute Ariège site, the first 8a in the Pyrenees, from 4c over 10 metres to 8a on cams and 300 m of rock face
La dent d’Orlu : The mythical slabs at 2222m, Zinkeria, Ithaque or the 1000 m enfants de la dale (children of the slab) sequence at 6a!
Ax les thermes : Swimming pool sector (no approach walk), Entresserres (confidential) or Bonascre (summer).
Aston (Coudene): In the cool on the Laparan dam route. High level, vertical slab, finger and technical climb.
Appy : Facing the Pyrenees in winter, climbing in the sun, magnificent view. Equipped by Mr Thierry Pouxviel.
Urs or quié d’Urs : A climb to do. The ring fixer, 5 fabulous pitches. An unique site.
Merens : la spélungue and the bal des vautours (vulture’s ball) La Cordée Pouxviel Costeseque!
Auzat : The homeland of Didier Raboutou and Didier Robert. A superb granite rock face for beginners. Montcalm Hein Dulfer Sector, 6b and its 7a variant to the left,
Le Far : Equipped by the Gérard’s (Jalbert and Pouliquen), Didier Robert and David Marfaing (our boss). “School” equipped for pleasure on “mountain” climbs, where beautiful technical adhesion steps await you.
Le sédour : In 1973, La Fantillou was opened, still on the agenda, except February to June due to nesting!
Cimetiere des Boucs : 45min approach walk that is worth the detour: The dish of the day 6b and “the old Sam” with its tricky 7a start.
Calames : A current spot where you find everything: High level sporting routes and an adventure terrain.
La Roche Ronde : Highly visible and yet poorly frequented! To climb. Serious aid climb!
Le Roc à Stéph : How can Ariège Evasion fail to speak to you about our instructor’s site, Mr. Stéphane Estebe? Swany, jungle surf and the quite technical 6a in the 1st sector.
Sibada : To warm up your fingers: Macalou, “the rings of Saturn”, breathtaking 7C… and the essential 7a “sleeping fingers.”
Alliat : A bit of everything and beautiful! A new sector with 2 minutes approach walk from 5c to 8a passing through “Momo’s legend.”.
Genat : For extraterrestrials, a fabulous but hard site!
Baychon : A small hamlet with beautiful well-equipped routes. A site to fall in love with.
Sabart : The mutants’ meeting place. Entry ticket at 6c, mostly 8a. The 9a is legendary…
Carol : A beautiful forgotten sector, indulged child 6c itinerary, “spitmania” 8a – that was in 1991.
Roquefixade : Climb at the foot of the castle, 3 min. approach walk. “Requiem for Péchiney”, “Nuts”.
Gorges de la Frau : “The eye of Zodec,” a good number of orchids are present in the gorges, including the famous lady’s slipper orchid!
Stay at the Ariège Évasion campsite: furnished tents, pitches, chalets
Mountain climbs:
Bassies : A promenade to grasp this beautiful rock
Le Rulhe : More modern arêtes and routes. Set of cams recommended. A warm welcome from Fred and Calou at the Rulhe refuge.
En Beys : Climbs in the ONCFS Reserve: Mal des Rimayes, la terrine à Juju, “the great dwarf”…
Le Quioules : Being opened, damn!
Campcardos : Arete and spur, not to forget some varied pitons as well as a set of cams.
Baillettes : D inf to TD sup equipment to be completed.
Ribuls : Partially equipped for very hot days.
Bessaillettes : PGHM at the opening of the détresse des Cabals. 6a mandatory.
Castille : “the vultures’ ball”; be careful, the forerunners go by the names of Costeseque and Pouxviel! Authors’ quotation!
Bouldering Sector:
Laramade : Cool boulder, David’s grandmother’s boulder (our boss)
Orlu : From boulder to the waterside at the foot of La Dent
Arabaux : South-facing boulders near Foix
